What changed

San Martiño Pinario and the wider diocesan programme will matter in 2027 too.

The announced programme includes the official Holy Year hymn, a major commemorative concert, sacred and classical music in Santiago and along the Camino, new exhibition/museum spaces including Orixes and Compostela, and an international meeting on pilgrimage routes. Once dates are published, relevant items will move into the dated calendar above.

How to use this calendar

An event matters when it changes your day.

Staying centrally?

Check event dates before assuming the Cathedral/Old Town will behave like an ordinary evening.

Arriving that day?

Solve luggage and the room first. A Holy Year event is more enjoyable when your backpack is not part of it.

Leaving early?

Do not let a late event override the practical value of Ensanche or Intermodal for the final night.

Official programme watch

This page will change throughout 2026–2027.

After Camino is monitoring authoritative sources for meaningful additions, closures and logistics changes.

Why the calendar starts before 2027

Official programming is already visible months in advance. Publishing the verified layer early gives pilgrims something more useful than a generic promise that “many events will happen”.

What gets added

Priority goes to events with authoritative sources and practical value. Dated events enter the calendar; substantial official programme announcements can be tracked separately while their dates remain TBC. Small listings may be omitted if they do not meaningfully affect a pilgrim's planning.

Need a room around an event?

Use the Holy Year accommodation guide to choose the zone before comparing live rooms.
